Tasting notes

A discreet if perceptible application of wood sets off the overtly floral-suffused nose of petrol and white peach. The succulent and round medium-bodied flavors possess good verve that carries over to the bright, nicely dry and delicious finish where the wood telegraphed by the nose resurfaces. Good quality here in a slightly oaky style. Note: from a blend of Les Pelles Dessous and a .30 ha holding in Les Tessons.

It is not a matter of chance that the village of Meursault is the kingdom of Chardonnay. Through the ages, their white wines have built an undisputed reputation. Detailed studies of the local subsoil made up mainly of shale with a good deal of clay create a perfect alchemy for the Chardonnay grape.
