Tasting notes

Espresso, black pepper, chocolate covered covered blackberries and currants work together to create the perfume. The wine is plush, polished, rich and supple with a blast of ripe, sweet, chewy fruits, espresso and dark chocolate in the endnote. Give it a few years to soften and fill out and it is going to deliver the goods for up to 2 decades after that. The wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2024-2040.

The nose is racy and offers power, a fine deepness and a fine intensity. It reveals notes of cassis, terroir, small notes of strawberry associated with small touches of small wild fruits, violet, liquorice as well as discreet hints of nutmeg, fresh mild tobacco and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, a good definition, gourmandize as well as an acidulous frame, a racy minerality, a fine tension and precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe wild cassis, juicy/fresh small black berries, small notes of wild rapsberry associated with touches of lily, violet as well as hints of wild raspberry associated with touches of lily, violet as well as hints of tonka bean, dry almond, fresh mild tobacco and toasted hazelnut. Tannins are marked and very discreetly firm.
