1994 Venge Vineyards Family Reserve Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, USA 750ml

The 1994 Venge Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was fabulous. An exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 18 months in oak casks (about 70% of which were new), it boasts an opaque black/purple color, as well as a nose of cassis, prunes, smoke, licorice, and earth. Exceptionally full-bodied with jammy flavors, low acidity, and awesome levels of glycerin, extract, and fruit, this is a wild, unrestrained, super-concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon that should become increasingly civilized as it ages effortlessly over the next 15-20 years. Sadly, only 240 cases of this beauty were produced.
