Henri Pion

We have received our first shipment from Henri Pion “Racines Croisées', a new operation we visited in Meursault recently.

Great tasting $50 white Burgundies from Meursault and Puligny Montrachet are getting harder and harder to find. We tasted hundreds of white Burgundies over 5 trips to Burgundy over the last 2 years, and have selected some delicious wines from a number of value white Burgundy producers. Puligny, Meursault and Chassagne at $50 or under.

The Pion family has distributed some of the most famous estates of Burgundy, mainly to Eastern France (Grand-Est) since 1850 and are leveraging longstanding relationships with farmers, mainly in the Cote d'Or, to produce tasty wines at very fair prices.

Tasting a wide range of wines from 2014-2016, we particularly enjoyed their range of 2014s whites that we are offering today.

Deft use of oak and rich texture that effortlessly transformed into snappy, bright lemon fruit and tensile, wiry minerality:

Bourgogne Blanc for $22, Santenay 1er Cru for $38, Meursault for $45 (only a few bottles remaining), Puligny Montrachet $50.

There is even a $16 Chardonnay from near the Mediterranean, that is light and refreshing!!

Tasty reds as well! 2015 Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet for $75. Yes, $75 for a Grand Cru red from the great 2015 vintage! There is also Mediterranean Pinot Noir for $16 that tastes good.

This is a great opportunity to pick up some delicious white and red Burgundies at very low prices!!

These have been purchased directly from the producer, breaking down layers of distribution to ensure you get the best price.
