Tasting notes

Bursting with aromas of pear, sweet citrus fruit, toasted nuts and spices, the 2022 Meursault Clos des Ecoles is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, with lively acids and a complex, gently oak-inflected finish.

This is also wonderfully fresh though with more deeply pitched and spicier aromas. There is even better mid-palate density to the delicious, vibrant and velvet-textured flavors that display focused power on the compact, serious and impressively long finale. This is a very good Vosne villages that is worth considering.

Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat wines have been amongst the best in Burgundy for generations. The domaine was run by Alain Hudelot-Noëllat for over 30 years until 2007, when Alain turned 67 In 2008 he stepped down when his grandson, Charles van Canneyt completed his formal wine studies in Dijon University and the following stage and took over the domaine. Since 2005 Alain has been helped by Vincent Meunier, who continues to work with Charles.
