Tasting notes

(from Chenevottes proper). A whiff of matchstick character is present on the ripe aromas of citrus confit, essence of pear and a similar hint of rosemary oil. The supple and rounded medium-bodied flavors possess excellent verve and delineation on the very dry and equally austere finale that is fairly tightly wound so at least some patience should beneficial.

Situated in Chassagne-Montrachet in the south of the Cote d'Or, Chateau de la Maltroye has been a family property since 1939. It is easily recognizable by its 18th century, glazed tile roof. The vineyard encompasses over 32 acres in Chassagne-Montrachet and 5 acres in Santenay.
