2005 Caldwell Vineyard Silver Proprietary Red, Coombsville, USA 750ml

Made from a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Syrah, the 2005 Silver does not possess the weight or intensity of its older sibling, but it exhibits an elegant, layered style, a smoky, blackberry, chocolate, and spicy-scented bouquet, a gamy note, and a medium-bodied, dry, elegant finish. It should turn out to be a stylish effort, although not as big as previous vintages.
