2010 Domaine Ramonet Les Caillerets, Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, France 1.5L

The 2010 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets is superb in 2010, a great vintage for the domaine. A striking bouquet of lemon oil, green pear, wet rocks and spring flowers is followed by a medium-full wine with great cut, searing minerality and terrific concentration. This is a focused, structured wine that is cruising along in the cellar and should drink well for many years to come.

2015 Domaine Ramonet Les Caillerets, Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, France 1.5L

The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets is one of the real successes of the vintage at this address, wafting from the glass with a complex bouquet of lime, dried white flowers, confit citrus and wheat toast. On the palate, the wine is glossy, concentrated and controlled, with compelling depth and dimension and an intense, racy finish. Elegant and complete, this is comparatively approachable for a young Caillerets, but it will repay some bottle age."-

2018 Domaine Dujac Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru, Cote de Nuits, France 750ml

The 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru is also showing beautifully, bursting with aromas of raspberries, red cherries, cassis and raw cocoa that are complemented by fragrant top notes of orange rind, rose petals and violets. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, lively and elegant, with finer-grained tannins than the more overtly muscular Clos de la Roche, but with similar dimension and mid-palate presence, concluding with a long and perfumed finish. 2018 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, Cote de Nuits, France 750ml

The 2018 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is a beautiful young wine, built for the ages. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of cassis, cherries, rose petals, orange rind, woodsmoke, cinnamon and rich soil tones, it's full-bodied, muscular and introverted, with prodigious concentration, lively acids and a long, ripely tannic finish. While I suspect my visit to Domaine Dujac coincided with an especially brooding evolutionary phase, this will be a Clos de la Roche for the patient. (WK)

2018 Domaine Dujac Aux Malconsorts, Vosne-Romanee Premier Cru, France 750ml

The fireworks begin in earnest with the 2018 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts, a brilliant young wine that bursts from the glass with aromas of cherries, red berries and exotic spices, complemented by delicate top notes of blood orange and peonies and framed by a deft touch of creamy new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, with a deep and multidimensional core, lively acids and a long, resonant finish. (WK)

2018 Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Cote de Beaune, France 750ml

I tasted multiple components that will make up the final blend of the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru to write a composite tasting note. Exhibiting aromas of orange oil, pear, spices and hazelnuts, the wine is full-bodied, ample and textural but controlled. Still in some instances clouded by suspended sediment, this Corton-Charlemagne is far from being fully formed, so this shouldn't be considered by any means a definitive note, but the raw materials certainly appear promising.
