Tasting notes

There is just enough reduction present to blur the nuances of the intensely floral and citrussuffused nose. There is fine size, weight and volume to the larger-scaled flavors that possess a positively gorgeous mouthfeel while displays focused power on the superbly long, balanced and highly complex finale. This is terrific and a Bâtard built to reward a decade or more of cellaring. 95/2030+

We have an outstanding selection of Chateau de la Maltroye wines arriving direct from the domaine. Situated in Chassagne-Montrachet in the south of the Cote d'Or, Chateau de la Maltroye has been a family property since 1939. It is easily recognizable by its 18th century, glazed tile roof. The vineyard encompasses over 32 acres in Chassagne-Montrachet and 5 acres in Santenay.
