"This is pure and precise, showing rich apricot, peach and clementine flavors, but great cut too, with a mouthwatering edge that lets chamomile, green plum and honeysuckle notes dance through the finish. Gorgeous." — Wine Spectator 93 pts.

The Sauternes appellation comprises nearly 2,000 hectares (about 4,900 acres) of vines that grow from a gravely soil with a clay and limestone substratum. The maximum authorized output is 25 hectolitres per hectare.

The estate is made up of 18 "appellation" hectares (44 acres), sixteen of which are under cultivation. The majority of the plots are grouped around the château itself, in the small administrative municipalities of Sauternes, Bommes, and Preignac.

Surrounded by the most renowned Sauternes vineyards, the vineyard enjoys an ideal location and combines the best conditions to produce a great Sauternes.

Behind the beautiful yellow gown, you will discover a traditional Sauternes, smooth and delicate, one that lingers long on the palate and possesses, depending on the vintage, the subtle flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, banana, vanilla, apricot, candied lemon, and even spices, prunes and honey.

Château Raymond-Lafon is located on the left bank of the Garonne river, approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) southwest of Bordeaux.
