This is the first wine to display more than a trace of wood influence and it's enough to fight somewhat with the otherwise cool, airy and elegant essence of red berry aromas trimmed in discreet spice and wet stone nuances. The caressing, delicious and intensely mineral-driven middle weight flavors possess solid power on the complex, long and quite serious, indeed this should easily repay 12 to 15 years of keeping. This isn't as refined as the two Vosne 1ers but it's more powerful.
