Moderate wood is present on the markedly floral, and elegant, nose of various white floral aromas that are nuanced by notes of citrus, a broad array of spice elements and a touch of green apple. The super-sleek but well-concentrated medium weight flavors flash ample minerality that adds a sense of lift to the beautifully textured finale where the innate class of Puligny is on display.
Unfurling in the glass with gently reductive aromas of apple blossom, white peach and pear, the 2022 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne is medium to full-bodied, ample and charming, with a pure, vibrant and enveloping core of fruit underpinned by lively acids, concluding with a mineral finish.
