Here the nose is a bit riper yet still nicely fresh with its array of plum liqueur, cassis, just turned earth and a whiff of the sauvage. The exceptionally rich middleweight flavors manage to retain both good detail and energy that carries over to the dusty, youthfully austere and firm finale. While this could be enjoyed young thanks to the excellent richness, 8 to 10 years of keeping should see it at its peak.
