A discreet application of wood is present on the more restrained if otherwise similar nose. The supple, delicious and vibrant flavors are acceptably concentrated yet still flash impressive power and minerality on the driving, complex and superbly persistent finish. This is quite firmly structured and a wine that's very probably going to need at least 20 years of keeping due to the large format bottling. In a word, this won't wow you with its density but the harmony of expression is seriously lovely.
