(from a .52 ha parcel). An elegant, even perfumed, nose reflects pure and airy notes of just sliced green apple, acacia, orange peel and the barest suggestion of wood. There is once again excellent intensity, detail and minerality to the utterly delicious flavors that are shaped by lemon-tinged acidity on the chiseled and bone-dry finale. Lovely, understated and age worthy.
Mid yellow. Quite an interesting complex nose, though still at a backward stage. A little bit of wood showing. The wines will stay in barrel until December at least, for probable bottling around Easter, so there is time for this to develop. A light butteriness from the barrel with a saline note afterwards. Some promise but early days yet.
