The 2020 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru comes from a single 0.58-hectare parcel just next to the Clos de Perrières. It has a precise and focused bouquet, crushed stone filtering through the citrus fruit, very vivacious though at the same time, understated. It knows that it doesn’t have to show off. The palate is beautifully poised with ample concentration, very fine acidity and neatly integrated oak. One of those samples where I could have happily not used the spittoon. This comes highly recommended.
