The 2017 Marquis d'Alesme offers terrific depth and resonance, but with a bit more freshness than has been the norm in recent years. Bright red stone fruit and expressive floral notes abound in this very pretty Margaux, but what impresses most is the wine's sense of balance. For that reason, I won't be at all surprised if the 2017 turns out even better than this note suggests. Tasted two times.
