Once again there is a subtle touch of wood evident on the ripe and almost ostentatiously spicy nose of violet, lavender, clove and red cherry scents. There is impressive concentration to the middle weight plus flavors that brim with dry extract that imparts a seductive mouthfeel as well as buffers the borderline robust tannins shaping the wonderfully persistent finish. This is a big RSV and like the Forêts St. Georges, a wine that is going to require extended keeping.
