The 2015 Marsannay Boivin demonstrated a little more poise and restraint compared to the Marsannay les Ouzeloy, with dark cherries, boysenberry jam and blood orange aromas (the latter a common trait among Roty's 2015s). The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannin that lend this a more masculine structure, more grip and assertiveness than the other Marsannay, the finish containing a little sinew, but that will ebb away once in bottle. This is a very fine Marsannay from Roty.
