"Pale yellow. Lovely oily perfume of lime zest, nut oil and iodine, plus a remaining touch of green apple (this wine had just finished its secondary fermentation, but Cournut's Batard-Montrachet was still in its final throes and not available to taste). Hard to taste today but saline and light on its feet, showing excellent energy and a long, broad finish."
