" A magnificently complex nose that is layered, dense and broad with a mix of dark berry fruits, plum, earth, spice and smoked meat with a distinct animale character. The wonderfully rich, full and powerful big-bodied flavors possess excellent phenolic ripeness before culminating in a spectacular finish as this really fans out on the palate. This too will require patience."

"Good medium-deep red. Musky aromas of wild raspberry, blood orange and game. Powerful and penetrating yet utterly seamless, with superb inner-mouth perfume and energy to the flavors of raspberry, minerals, flowers and earth. Compelling precision and class here. Shows its clay element without any heaviness. Finishes extremely long and fine-grained, with a strong cherry flavor complicated by a leesy nuance. This is normally a black wine, notes Mounir Saouma, but in 2011 it's characterized more by small, wild red berries. "
