A complex nose features red berry fruit plus herbal and floral notes along with plenty of Gevrey-style earth that continues onto the mineral-inflected, intense and relatively robust flavors. There is good verve to the complex, balanced and solidly persistent finish. A classic Gevrey built to reward medium-term cellaring. 88-91 pts.
