Showing the vintage’s approachable, rich and sexy style, the 2007 Cote Rotie Chateau d’Ampuis gives up ripe black raspberry, cassis, toasted spice, dried violets and cured meats to go with a full-bodied, forward and downright hedonistic style on the palate. About as exuberant and indulgent as Cote Rotie gets, it offers loads of pleasure now, but will evolve gracefully for another decade at least.
