Charles Krug's Limited Release program sets a new level of quality for this Napa stalwart. This Cabernet Sauvignon boasts plenty of smoky oak on the nose, but also bold cassis fruit and hints of vanilla and tobacco. This is fuller and richer than either the Syrah or the Cab Franc, with soft but plentiful tannins that would make this a solid steakhouse choice over the next 10 years.
