"Leroy has long made a quiet specialty of Auxey blanc and this example is lovely with a ripe, slightly botrytis-infused nose that leads to full, rich, slightly sweet and deep flavors that offer good sap and excellent length. Like most '83s, this won't win any awards for elegance but the mere fact that a 17 year-old villages level wine is not only alive but well is ample testament to the underlying quality."
