"Sturdy and solid, with wild berry, cherry, spice and floral notes that explode into more layers of tobacco, cedar, licorice and black tea flavors midpalate. Dense tannins give this good structure."

2004 Honig Bartolucci, Cabernet Sauvignon
This vineyard has been farmed by the Bartolucci family for three generations. it is located west of St. Helena near the base of Spring Mountain, One of our favorite Cabernet growing regions. Spring Mountainhas been famous for the wines produced here since the first vines were planted in the 1870's, especially its Cabernets. Some of Napa's best known and most respected wineries are located in the Spring Mountain AVA. As Honig suggests, the exhibits bold fruit, beautifully framed by French oak. Notes of cassis, black cherry and black tea, with red raspberry and allspice.
Sale Price: $70.00
Robert Parker 90

"The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Bartolucci Vineyard is impressive. This deep ruby/purple-hued effort offers aromas of cedar, subtle toasty oak, black currants, sweet cherries, and loamy soil. Full-bodied with ripe tannin, an excellent mid-palate, and a long finish, it will benefit from 1-2 years of cellaring, and should last for 10-15."

November 2010:

1995 Pontet-Canet, Bordeaux
List Price: $100.00
Wine Spectator 94

Fabulous nose of crushed currants, blackberries and forest flowers. Full-bodied, with plenty of ripe fruit and silky tannins. This is really holding back.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective..

2000 Cazabonne, Bordeaux
List Price: $70.00
Fine Wine International

This outstanding wine comes from young-vine production from Margaux's most esteemed chateau. Oak-aged for depth and complexity, the wine was then blended with high quality fruit from a neighbouring chateau, a famed Margaux Cru Bourgeois Superieur. The result is a terrific Bordeaux from a great vintage at a very affordable price.

December 2010:

2002 Pierre Morlet, Millesime, Champagne
List Price: $55.00
Wine-Maker Notes

The Pierre Morlet Champagne style is rich, harmoniously balanced, and refined. The body is round and elegant with fruity notes of raspberry and wild strawberry, intermixed with hints of violet, expressing the predominance of the Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay adds structure and finesse as well as zesty lemon flavors with classic notes of William pear and acacia. The chalky subsoil into which the vines plunge their roots, provides the wines with a strong mineral background. The Champagnes exhibit complexity and depth brought by the diversity of the terroirs, the old age of the vines, the vinification, and the élevage (barrel ageing) in French oak barrels.

2005 Leeuwin Artist Series, Chardonnay
